And you didn't think food prices were rising

One of the most sinister ways of masking inflation & rising costs is changing the packaging size.  You actually believe  you are receiving the same quantity of product that you've always have.  Unfortunately, many manufacturers have began to reduce the size & quantity of food & products they offer.  At the same time, the price for the product is the same or higher than it was before.

To most of us that don't spend our days remembering exact prices per ounce or price per quantity this is truly obscene.  Most people will not notice the change except when they are scratching their heads in the check-out line why things are costing so much and their trips to the grocery store are more frequent.  In a recent consumer report article they stated "From toothpaste to tuna fish, hot dogs to hand soap, companies have been shaving ounces and inches from packaged goods for years, usually blaming it on rising costs for ingredients and energy."  You can read more of the article that compares size/price ratios here

This is just another example of the reality that is happening while we are being lied to by the powers-that-be.  Note to self, starting paying attention to price per ounce/quantity.
